Various lists of the deported

Polska Walczaca lists
Between 1943 and 1944 the Polska Walczaca newspaper published various lists of the deported. They contain names, addresses, birth dates etc. Each list is different and its worth searching each of them. These are copied from the archives of the Polish Library, POSK, Hammersmith, London UK.

These files are very large, so will take some time to download.

List of Polish Military and Civilian settlers (Osadnik's)
The Polish Osadnik organisation - Stowarzyszenie Rodzin Osadnikow Wojskowych i Cywilnych Kresow Wschodnich have published the attached list showing names and locations of all Osady and Osadnik's
Wykaz Osad (Excel file, can be sorted by name, Osada etc)

  1. Hi Janusz. I could be mistaken, but it appears page 31 in "Names of Poles in Tehran, Persia" is missing. Does it appear this way in the archives? I reside in South Africa, so I unfortunately do not have access to the archives myself. Thanks a mil. Tamara Bulmer

  4. Thank you, I have found some of my family members in the document: "Polska Walczaca - Osoby wyewakuowane z ZSSR - A4 with OCR.pdf". Alas, it is a very manual process, as search for text strings, even in full Acrobat does not work, and trying to export it to other formats is impossible because it is locked by password. Is there a solution to this?

  5. Hi, not sure why you cant search the document, as it is fully searchable. You can download the file and serch within it directly, or you can use the browsers (eg Google chrome) search facility.

    Let me know if you still have trouble.
